A new era!
From August 2026, a bright young couple are taking over the restaurant at La Closerie de la Beyne, bringing their local knowledge and passion for seasonal cooking to our estate.

Tanguy’s cooking is rooted in the Dordogne, and his knowledge of the region means he brings with him established relationships with some of the best small producers in the area.

With his wife Elodie, they are realising the next step in their dream together: a place of their own where their values of creating and serving dishes which focus on quality seasonal produce can be married with the perfect setting.

His dishes will also feature plums, walnuts, figs, cherries, quince and apples from our orchards, wild herbs and flowers from our meadows and surrounding woodlands, and regional specialities such as summer truffles and ceps from the local markets.

He is offering a weekly changing menu, built around the best of what the season offers.

We hope you will enjoy this new phase of the restaurant.

Chef Tanguy and Elodie

“We believe that the most wonderful encounters happen when you least expect them…

And so Tanguy and Elodie have joined the adventure at La Closerie de la Beyne, bringing with them their generosity and a sincere desire to breathe life into a place and a cuisine that truly matters. A fresh, inventive and indulgent cuisine.

Whether you’re just passing through, or have been a long supporter of the restaurant, or you’re simply looking for a moment of culinary conviviality, we want you to feel like welcome guests here.

We simply hope that you’ll leave with the memory of a wonderful encounter, some unforgettable flavours and the desire to return and share another moment with us at La Closerie de la Beyne.”

Native and seasonal foods

“Our inspiration comes from the seasons, the harvests, and the men and women who cultivate the land with passion.

Every ingredient is chosen with gratitude and respect for all living things; it is nature that sets our pace.

For us, cooking is, above all, a way of looking after others.”

Elodie

Our selection of organic wines

Hand picked after extensive research and building relationships with a handful of the best wine makers of the region, La Closerie’s wine list focuses on organic and biodynamic wines, sourced from within a 30km radius of here.

A range of natural, non sulphite wines is also offered.

A sustainable approach

By focusing on organic, seasonal and local produce the environmental impact of the food served here is minimised. Complemented by sourcing ingredients from La Closerie’s organic vegetable garden, fruit and nut trees, summer truffles and wild foraged plants when there is an abundance.

The Permaculture food forest also produces a wide variety of ingredients which allows more reliance on the produce of this land.

MARKET GARDENER, LOCAL PRODUCERS, BAKER, BUTCHER…

As Tanguy favours local produce in his cooking, he has been working with the region’s finest small-scale producers for many years.
The menu will feature bread and lamb from Naussannes, vegetables from Molieres and Beaumont-du-Périgord, berries from Lanquais, veal from Bayac, beer from Beaumont, goat’s cheese from Baneuil and, of course, whatever else he finds at the local markets, which are brimming with produce from Issigeac and Lalinde.
